Leveraging Large Language Models for Automated Grading: Insights and Experiences

In this talk, Professor Hung-yi Lee will share his experiences teaching a generative AI course with over a thousand enrollees, focusing specifically on his hands-on experience using large language models for automated grading. In the spring of 2024, Professor Lee offered the course Introduction to Generative AI, where he used generative AI to grade student assignments and addressed creative challenges posed by students through 'prompt injection attacks.' This lecture will showcase both the potential and challenges of generative AI in educational assessment, as well as explore how AI could transform grading methods in large-scale education.
